Al-Ahrar Palestinian Prisoner Support, Nidal, and Canada-Palestine Association’s Basil Al-Araj Prisoner Committee congratulate the Palestinian People and their brave Resistance forces on the ceasefire deal reached through their heroic steadfastness and commitment over the last two years. After two years of genocide and warfare against the enemy, the Palestinian Resistance has succeeded in securing a ceasefire, forcing the enemy to halt the war of extermination, withdraw its forces from the Gaza Strip, release Palestinian prisoners from Zionist jails and prisons, and allow aid to enter Gaza after the entity’s attempt to impose mass starvation.
Two years ago, the Palestinian Resistance initiated Operation Al-Aqsa Flood to break free from the open-air prison that caged their people in Gaza and launched an attack on the enemy that forever challenged its illusion of safety and dominance.
Since then, the Zionist entity has been brutally punishing the people of Gaza through horrifying bombing campaigns, killing possibly up to hundreds of thousands of civilians, starving the entire population of Gaza, routine kidnappings, and the destruction of homes, places of worship, hospitals, and schools. None of these brutalities are new as the entity has been subjecting Palestinians to this level of violence since its inception and has only intensified it over the last two years in a desperate attempt to deter Palestinians from resisting their extermination and exert Zionist colonial dominance throughout the region.
Ultimately, no Zionist military goals were achieved and all that was exposed was the Zionist enemy’s genocidal motives for the world to see. The people of Gaza remained steadfast in their commitment to liberation and unequivocal support for their Resistance forces. Despite their depraved violence, the Zionist entity failed repeatedly, over the last two years, to defeat the Resistance fighters on the ground. With incongruent military capabilities, the brave Palestinian Resistance dealt the enemy blow after blow on the battlefield in Gaza.
We especially commend the united front presented by the Resistance forces in the process of negotiations, namely Hamas, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, and Palestinian Islamic Jihad. The demonstrated collaborative approach is an affirmation of the forces’ dedication to the liberation of Palestine first and foremost and of the dignity and unity of Palestinians in the face of an enemy that seeks to divide them.
We also congratulate the allies of the Resistance from Yemen, Lebanon, Iraq and Iran, who launched various military campaigns against the entity over the last two years to materially support the Palestinian Resistance forces and the brave people of Gaza.
With great sorrow we, too, mourn the losses that Palestinians have endured in their fight for freedom. Glory to every martyr, to every child that lost their parents, to every parent that had to grieve their child, to every civil servant, medical staff, and journalist, to every Palestinian who lost their home, and every Palestinian who was abducted and made to face the horrors of the enemy’s jails and prisons.
We stand with and salute the Resistance leadership as they work tirelessly to implement the conditions and stages of the ceasefire with an enemy who has consistently shown its callousness towards the agreements it commits to. We have seen the enemy repeatedly sabotage deals at the last second and not abide by the agreed upon terms. As such, this ceasefire deal remains fragile and it is incumbent upon us to continue affirming our support for the Resistance— escalating, advocating, and working to isolate the Zionist enemy in whatever capacity we can.
Victory to the Resistance!
Glory to the Martyrs!
Free, Free Palestine!
Long Live the Axis of Resistance!
Free Them All!
