Al-Ahrar Palestinian Prisoner Support, Nidal, Students United for Palestinian Equality & Return (SUPER UW), Basil Al-Araj Prisoner Committee, and Tariq El-Tahrir Youth & Student Network express full solidarity with the recently designated individuals from Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network, the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, and the Popular Conference for Palestinians Abroad (PCPA): Mohammad Khatib, Jaldia AbuBakra, Saif Abu Keshek, and Hisham Abu Mahfouz.
These “terrorist” designations, issued by the very empire that inflicts the most terror and violence on every corner of the world, only serve to cut off popular support for Palestinian prisoners and Palestinians organizing in the diaspora and their supporters who have been rising up again and again.
It is critical that the entire movement stands behind these individuals and against the criminalization of resistance— and indeed, escalate the campaign to not only stop the designation of Palestinians in the diaspora and our resistance forces in our homelands, but to scrap the entire “terror list” and “terrorist” designation system.
The U.S. empire fears a strong, popular movement that threatens their economic and political interests in Palestine and the region. Repression is a sign of strength for the Palestinian liberation movement.
This movement has mobilized the largest demonstrations for Palestine in history, has cost Israeli and Zionist companies billions of dollars in losses, has united millions of people from across the world as well as virtually all social movements in every country for the Palestinian liberation struggle.
We must learn the lessons of history and act in clear rejection of such designations, bans, and proscriptions throughout the Western empires that directly fuel the genocide against our people.
Show your solidarity with comrades Jaldia Abubakra and Mohammed Khatib— invite them to speak, share their stories, and demand an end to all of the sanctions on Palestinian organizations and activists.
Join in the protests, actions, and mobilizations for the flotilla, against Zionist piracy, and to free all Palestinian, Lebanese, Arab, and international prisoners from Zionist jails, everywhere.
