Al-Ahrar Palestinian Prisoner Support mourns the martyrdom of Sayyed Ali Khameini, the leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and expresses our utmost solidarities with the people, the armed forces, and the government of Iran during this time of just, revolutionary struggle against U.S.-Zionist imperialist attacks.
We, too, mourn the martyrdom of the family of Sayyed Khameini, the various martyred political and military leaders of Iran including Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh, Ali Shamkhani, Major General Mohammad Pakpour, and Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, the 150+ martyrs who have risen from a primary school for girls in Minab, and other martyrs not yet reported.
The Zionist Entity: The Largest U.S. Military Base in West Asia
The recent U.S.-Zionist attacks and escalated regime change project against Iran is a violent threat to the Iranian people and the broader masses of the region. So long as the U.S. and Zionist entity remain unchallenged, and reactionary Arab states remain complacent and unmoved by the genocidal onslaught, stability and peace in West Asia remain under constant threat.
The ongoing Iranian retaliation thrust against U.S. military bases and assets across the region, including the Zionist entity, is a calculated, reasonable, and measured response, just as the first phases of Occupation True Promise were in 2024 and 2025.
The Zionist entity is the largest U.S. military base in West Asia. Its presence is supported by the surrounding American military bases located in Iraq, Jordan, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, the U.A.E, Saudi Arabia, and Oman. Military bases in West Asian countries compromise their sovereignty and must be ejected from the region immediately for the security of all. The greatest threat to stability and peace in West Asia is U.S.-Zionist imperialist aggression. Reactionary Arab regimes must recognize that allowing the occupation of their land by U.S.-Zionist forces will not bring them stability. Imperialist ambitions will continue to compromise their safety until they take active steps to detangle themselves from the web of the U.S-Zionist killing machine.
The U.S. has spent 2026 removing by force the global leaders of anti-imperialist struggle and we must be wide-eyed in our response to these atrocities. The martyrdom of Sayyed Khameini will not be in vain, just as the capture and incarceration of President Maduro and First Combatant Flores will not be in vain. It is crucial now more than ever to remember the words of the martyred Palestinian intellectual Basil Al-Araj:
“The enemy will carry out tactical, qualitative operations to assassinate some symbols [of resistance], and all of this is part of psychological warfare. Those who have died and those who will die will never affect the resistance’s system and cohesion because the structure and formations of the resistance are not centralized but horizontal and widespread. Their goal is to influence the resistance’s support base and the families of the resistance fighters, as they are the only ones who can affect the men of the resistance.”
Al-Ahrar is committed to steadfastly uplifting and championing the forces of the Axis of Resistance as the vanguard against U.S.-led imperialist aggression. From the belly of the beast, hands off the Middle-East!
Statements from the Resistance
“The aggression against Iran aims to enable the ‘israeli’ enemy to control the region and remove the greatest obstacle to achieving this goal. The enemy works to remove Iran with its Islamic system and its jihadi, revolutionary, and liberationist orientation, which rejects zionist hegemony, supports the Palestinian cause, and assists the peoples of the region.”
— Ansarallah Commander Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr El-Din al-Houthi
“No matter the sacrifices, we will not leave the field of honour, resistance, and confrontation against American tyranny and zionist criminality to defend our land, our dignity, and our independent choices.”
— Secretary-General of Hezbollah Sheikh Naim Qassem
Canada’s Role
Yesterday, Prime Minister Mark Carney stated that “the Islamic Republic of Iran is the principal source of instability and terror throughout the Middle East” and that “Canada supports the United States acting to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon and to prevent its regime from further threatening international peace and security.”
It is deplorable, yet unsurprising that the Carney government no longer is espousing rhetoric about having unity amongst “middle powers” as was emphasized in the Prime Minister’s speech at this year’s World Economic Forum in Davos. The Carney government’s support of U.S.-Zionist bombings of Iran illuminates the truth about Canada’s role in maintaining imperialism: the interests of the settler-colonial Canadian state has always and will always be in alignment with the U.S. and its allies.
Canada, no matter the government or individual leader in power, will ever concede with the wishes of the masses to end imperialist and colonial violence at home and abroad. It is only through revolutionary struggle that liberation will be won.
What Is to Be Done?
Al-Ahrar uplifts the Masar Badil’s calls for the broadest possible mobilizations and an escalation of actions to defeat the U.S.-Zionist war machine, stating that “the martyrs are a beacon of our collective struggle against occupation and imperialism.”
We, too, re-affirm our previous calls for the removal of Resistance organizations, like the IRGC, from the so-called “terrorist” lists of the West, including Canada’s, and for the abolition of these “terrorist” lists entirely.
We salute all the martyrs of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the republic’s clear and steadfast position of uncovering and removing the American imperialist bases that plague the region. Victory is near on the protracted journey to Al-Quds. Basil Al-Araj’s words ring true again when he states:
“Never spread the occupation’s propaganda, and do not contribute to instilling a sense of defeat… Never spread panic; be supportive of the resistance and do not spread any news broadcast by the occupation (forget about the ethics and impartiality of journalism; just as the zionist journalist is a fighter, so are you).”
Al-Ahrar congratulates the Islamic Republic of Iran on its ongoing achievements in confronting U.S.-Zionist-NATO aggression that not only exposes the illusion of supposed “superiority” of these imperialist powers, but has, too, established new rules of engagement.
As Head of Iran’s Parliamentary National Security Committee, Ebrahim Azizi, said: “We will continue targeting U.S. bases, and if regional countries want a solution, those bases must be removed.”
Now, once and for all, is the time to put to rest the two-sideism that the Western left holds onto so dearly. Victory to the Iranian Revolution that the Iranian people have fought so fiercely to uphold! Victory to the Palestinian struggle that is the tip of the spear in this war against imperialist barbarism! Victory to the masses of the world who know they must stand with Iran and their allies!
Glory to the Martyrs!
Long Live Imam Sayyed Ali Khameini!
Long Live the Iranian Revolution!
Long Live the Axis of Resistance!
