On this morning 24 years ago, Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades founder and Commander-in-Chief Raed Al-Karmi was assassinated by the Zionist entity. The explosion device cowardly planted in the walls next to a Christian cemetery in the city of Tulkarem was detonated during a ceasefire between the occupation and the Palestinian Authority.
Martyr leader Al-Karmi played a crucial role during the Second Intifada and because of this, his martyrdom was not the first time the Zionist entity targeted him for assassination. In September 2001, for example, he survived a Zionist missile attack, but the comrades he was with were regrettably martyred.
Like many others, the revolutionary path martyr leader Al-Karmi chose to embark on was one of risk and sacrifice. Now, a street in Tulkarem bears his name to honour his nobility and dedication to serving his Palestinian people.
From the assassination of martyr leader Al-Karmi in 2002 to the November 2025 Ain al-Hilweh massacre in Lebanon to the daily strikes, shootings, and deliberate starvation of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, the Zionist entity continues to violate ceasefire after ceasefire in a desperate attempt to bend the will and conscience of the Palestinian people.
But the Palestinian people will not concede to Zionist aggression. Martyred Palestinian leaders like Raed Al-Karmi, Yahya Sinwar, Ismail Haniyeh, and Abu Ali Mustafa demonstrate the bravery and steadfastness of the Palestinian people and their united Resistance vanguard on the path to liberation and return.
Glory to the Martyrs!
Long Live Martyr Leader Raed Al-Karmi!
Free, Free Palestine!
